Reiki Healing
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word "Reiki" is made up of two Japanese words: "rei" which means "Universal" and "ki" which means "life force energy." Reiki practitioners use their hands to transfer Universal Energy to the client with the intention of promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
During a Reiki session, Melissa will place her hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions, including positions on the head, front and back of the torso, and on the legs. The practitioner's hands are generally kept in each position for three to ten minutes. The client is usually lying down on a massage table, fully clothed.
Reiki is a non-invasive and gentle treatment that is suitable for people of all ages, including children and the elderly. It is often used to reduce stress and promote relaxation, but it can also be used to help with a wide range of physical and emotional issues. Some people also use Reiki to improve sleep, reduce pain, and increase overall well-being.

Reiki Crystal Healing
Crystal healing is a form of energy healing that involves the use of crystals and gemstones to balance the energy of the body and promote healing. It is based on the belief that crystals and gemstones have unique vibrational frequencies that can be used to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
During a Crystal Reiki healing session, the practitioner selects crystals and gemstones based on the specific needs of the client. The crystals and gemstones are then placed on or around the client's body in a specific pattern, or they may be held by the client or placed near the client's body. The practitioner may also use crystal wands or points to direct the energy of the crystals and gemstones towards the client.
Some people use crystal healing to help with a wide range of physical and emotional issues, such as reducing stress, improving sleep, and increasing relaxation. Others use it as a complement to traditional medical treatment for specific conditions. It is important to note that crystal healing should not be used as a replacement for medical treatment, and you should always consult with a healthcare professional for any health concerns.

Although it is very common to experience this sensation from the hands, it’s fine if you don’t during each treatment. Try to notice exactly how you are feeling during the treatment

The treatment will start with a 20 minute consultation followed by the Reiki and Crystal treatment. The treatment will last approximately 40 minutes. During the treatment you will lie on a massage bed fully clothed, with the Reiki being passed by hands, palms down above your body in specific energy locations (Chakra). At the end of the treatment the aura will be cleansed and a glass of water offered for grounding purposes.
Even though you feel wonderful after your treatment it’s best to allow at least a week in between your treatments. This time allows you to rebalance physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Please note: Reiki works alongside and complements other treatments you’re receiving, it doesn’t replace them.
Seeing colours against closed eyelids during a Reiki session is common when the person is highly relaxed. The colours themselves are an indication that you are letting go and aware of the energy flowing through your body. These colours are associated with the 'Chakras' which are the energy centres of the body
Be sure to wear loose and breathable clothes, bring socks as shoes will be removed and feet can get cold (although blankets are provided)

Our Founder
Welcome to Sunbeam Therapies . I’m Melissa and I’m a Reiki Master Practitioner and Crystal Healer. However first and foremost I’m a mum of two, a spiritual being, nature lover and life lover.
I have trained and graduated with The Reiki School, being taught the Dr Usui system. After previously working in the technology sector for many years, I felt it was time to take my life long passion for Reiki and crystals to those that need it, moving and affecting energetic systems enabling me to improve the life & health of others.
